NetPraise ("we," "our," or "us") operates the NetPraise platform — a church community application designed to help churches manage prayer requests, life groups, and classes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

By using NetPraise, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number (optional)
• Church Affiliation: The name and details of the church you are associated with
• Religious Content (Sensitive): Prayer requests, prayer responses, testimonies, and Bible verse interactions. This is religious belief data and is treated with the highest level of privacy.
• Class & Membership Data: Which classes you belong to, your role (member, teacher, admin)
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps of activity
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the NetPraise platform
• To authenticate your identity and manage your account
• To send notifications about prayer requests, class updates, and account activity
• To connect you with your church community in a controlled, private environment
• To provide AI-assisted Bible verse suggestions based on prayer content
• To generate anonymized engagement reports for church administrators
• To respond to support requests

We never sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Sensitive Religious Data

NetPraise collects information about your religious beliefs and practices, including prayer requests, testimonies, and church affiliations. This is classified as sensitive personal data. We apply additional safeguards:

• Prayer content is only visible to recipients you explicitly choose
• Anonymous posting is supported to protect sensitive requests
• Religious data is never shared with third parties for marketing or advertising
• AI processing of prayer content is used only to suggest relevant scripture and is not stored for training

5. Data Sharing

We may share your data with:

• Church Administrators: Admins of your church may see member profiles and engagement data
• Service Providers: Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of others

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data including prayer requests, comments, and profile information will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate personal data
• Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@netpraise.org or use the Account Deletion feature in your Settings.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently remove all your personal information, prayer requests, comments, and class memberships. This action is irreversible.

Alternatively, email privacy@netpraise.org with subject "Data Deletion Request" and we will process it within 30 days.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure and we encourage you to use a strong password.

10. Children's Privacy

NetPraise is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact us immediately at privacy@netpraise.org.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
